IMPRESSIONS

A place. An hour. And its colors.

With “Impressions” we wanted to pay tribute to unique moments around the globe. Places that remain in the eyes and in the heart. Forever.

The collection consists of the following original illustrations:

#1 - LAPLAND DAWN

"The polar aurora, often called the northern or southern aurora depending on whether it occurs in the northern or southern hemisphere, respectively, is an optical phenomenon of the Earth's atmosphere, characterized mainly by bright bands of a wide range of rapidly changing shapes and colors over time and space, typically red-green-blue, called auroral arcs, caused by the interaction of charged particles (protons and electrons) of solar origin (solar wind) with the earth's ionosphere (atmosphere between 100–500 km ): these particles excite the atoms of the atmosphere which, after being de-excited, emit light of various wavelengths. #2 - Capri Sunset

“The sunset, not to be confused with the twilight, is the daily disappearance of the sun below the horizon due to the earth's rotation.
When the sun is low on the horizon, the light to reach us must pass through a thicker layer of atmosphere. So it means that the light will encounter a greater number of nano-particles that can give "diffusion". This changes the wavelength that reaches us most easily: normally it is found in blue-blue, but at sunrise and sunset, the red or orange wavelengths become predominant, which we normally do not see "

#3 - MIDNIGHT IN PORTOFINO

“Midnight is the transition time from day to day, the time when the date changes. Solar midnight, or dark night, is the time opposite to solar noon, when the Sun is closest to the nadir and the night is equidistant from sunset and sunrise. Due to the advent of time zones, solar midnight rarely coincides with midnight on the clock. In ancient Roman timekeeping, midnight was halfway between sunset and sunrise (i.e. solar midnight), which varied with the seasons. "

It is midnight, the lights dance on the water, Portofino is there.
